Wayne Lai's new Occupational Safety MV turns into a "Rickroll" Spoof

Wayne Lai has recently become very popular online, after the release of the MV to his new song Occupational Safety True Man (職安真漢子) (a remake of the original True Man by George Lam) on the buses in HK. However, his movements along with the 70s music feel led to a spoof of the song made by Netizens. The spoof MV reached over 7,000 views on Youtube.

A Netizen saw Wayne's MV and immediately used his imagination, combining Wayne's voice with 80s English singer Rick Astley's popular song Never Gonna Give You Up, a combination with a strange effect. Never was the song that popular internet meme 'Rick Roll' originated from. At the end of the spoof MV, there was a segment of a very exaggerated Wayne face, making an "AHH" expression. This made a hilarious 'exploding mouth' effect.

Towards the spoof, Wayne said over the phone yesterday: "I don't mind, I am not upset because I'm not selling handsome and it's not JSG. This MV was arranged for me by the Occupational Safety department. With people taking it to play with, then that proves people acknowledge my advertisement. The most important is that the Occupational Safety message is conveyed, other things I don't mind."
