Brief summary:

When he was younger, Hugo Ng accepted a mission to infiltrate the triads as an undercover agent. The triad leader's daughter, Christine Ng, fell in love with him at first sight. Although Hugo already had his heart set on the simple Mimi Kung, he pretended to be with Christine in order to solve the case. As a result, he quickly rose through the ranks in the triad. One time, during a fight between triads, Hugo eliminated Christine's triad rivals, but Christine's fate remained unclear. Hugo's good friend, Michael Miu, knows about his affair with Christine and their infant son (Bosco Wong). Hugo brings Bosco home and Mimi also gives birth to a son (Ron Ng). Because of the sin that he represented, Bosco did not grow up with love from his father. But Ron also did not get spoiled by Hugo and instead had to go through many hardships. The half-brothers accumulate a number of grudges growing up. Each of them also coincidentally develop a father-like mentor relationship with Michael. During a grand promotional ceremony, Hugo, having achieved the rank of Superintendent, is happily preparing to receive this honour, but unknowingly steps into a revenge plot that is thirty years in the making...

Brief summary:

Brief summary:

To avoid being caught up in the drama of the underworld, Edwin Siu and his sister Rachel Kan operate their inn and live quietly. Because of this, scandals in the Eastern Depot are exposed and Edwin is imprisoned by Eastern Depot official Ben Wong. To save her brother, Rachel spreads rumours that there is hidden treasure at the inn. Not only does Ben immediately release Edwin, he also sends his right-hand woman, Grace Chan, to travel with Edwin to the inn and collect intelligence. The rumour attracts many hidden heroes to emerge and try different tactics. In the process, Grace finally discovers the truth about the murder of her parents from many years ago, causing her to turn against Ben. Brief summary:

Born into a family of lawyers, Mandy Wong has Joseph Lee, a top name in the legal industry, as her mentor. One of her alter egos is a wild player, who is brave and ruthless. Another alter ego is timid and pessimistic, wearing a constant frown on her face. Benjamin Yuen discovers Mandy's secret and uses it to blackmail her into hiring him as a trainee. Mandy reluctantly agrees in order to ensure that she can marry Jason Chan, a highly eligible bachelor. Thus begins an extraordinary experience for them. Because of sudden personality switches, Mandy often has embarrassing moments in court, which is the source of much laughter. The only person who knows about the origins of Mandy's disorder is her mother, Gigi Wong. Unfortunately, Gigi refuses to talk about the past. Meanwhile, Benjamin becomes good friends with Mandy's alter egos. In order to eliminate a future cause of trouble, Mandy is determined to make them disappear.

Brief summary:

The workplace is like a battle field. There is no eternal friend or enemy in the office, only people who mutually benefit from each other! Flora Chan, the senior secretary in the marketing department, has always enjoyed the favour of her boss - marketing director Waise Lee, and is known as the "Secretary Queen" in the company.  She is constantly fighting against the rivaling camp, which is led by sales director Tony Hung. Tony's secretary Ali Lee goes to work every day in "battle mode", using her beauty to cover up her mistakes. Flora sees this as nothing and easily wins with her intelligence. When the company decides to launch a new brand, it becomes the battleground for both sides. But surprisingly, upper management hires an outsider, Ben Wong, to be the marketing director of the new brand, to the great shock of Flora. Additionally, she is busy with helping the heir, Steven Cheung. The power dynamics in the company undergo a big shift. When Ben and Flora's former relationship as a married couple is eventually revealed, it drastically increases the intensity of political climate in the office. Even the boss and secretary relationship, which shares in times of honour and disgrace, takes on a new style every day.

My thoughts:

It's the time of the year again, congratulations to all the winners! The TV King is expected to be either Kenneth Ma or Vincent Wong and Queen is a bit harder to guess with Natalie Tong given the TV Queen title unexpectedly for her performance in My Unfair Lady. Best Drama is My Ages Apart, the 50 episodes long series which in my opinion, it's ok to skip the drama if you do not have time, you are not missing out on anything. If you have not watch any of the TVB dramas yet for year 2017, my recommended series are 1) Destination Nowhere, 2) Tiger Mum Blues, 3) Mind Hunter, 4) Heart of Greed 3, 5) Line Walker: The Prelude and 6) The Exorcist's Meter in order of preference. If you have not watched the 2009 drama Phoenix Rising that was broadcasted in 2017, it's a must-watch show. ^_^

Brief summary:

Raymond Wong and Grace Chan are a couple that has been influenced by Western thinking. They want to change their closed, backwards-thinking hometown, but things don't go their way. They secretly form a coalition to protect other women. But when a group of men led by housekeeper Louis Yuen let in bandits for their own gain, it not only exposes the women's coalition, but also puts Raymond and Grace's relationship to the test.
