In recent years, Fala’s career has been fortuitous, filming television series after series. Due to her beauty and good figure, many advertisers have pursued her as well. With the restaurant’s problem temporarily solved, TUNG concentrates on working out new dishes and ideas for the restaurant. He discovers TSUI HEI-HEI (Sheung Tin Ngor), a novice cook with a signature egg fried rice recipe. She even wins the appreciation of the Michelin food critic experts. As a result, TUNG treats her extremely well.

One day, a bank representative, LEI YUNG-CHI (Ng Wing Mei) pops into the restaurant and claims that HEI has a debt with the bank. She picks a fight with CHI in a heated argument. In the fight, HEI is injured and loses her memory.

For fear of losing the restaurant’s reputation, TUNG decides to put on a show and pretends to be HEI’s elder brother while SING acts as her husband. Cello teacher YIP TSIK-LEUNG (Sammul Chan) plays HEI’s son and his girlfriend, TAI YING-LEI (Natalie Tong) is assigned the role of HEI’s cousin.

In the meantime, YUNG is fired from the bank but now claims that she is a shareholder and plans to reform the entire restaurant. Now all three owners want to make decisions but all three have different ideas. A triangular power struggle is developed in the process.

Oh so this is the show where Sammul and Shirley has numerous misunderstandings between them in tabloid news... The plot sounds interesting. On a side note, Sammul does look like someone with music talents. haha. Hope this is a comedy drama. Really need something to brighten me up. Oh almost forgot that I can watch Can't buy me love. Haven't started yet. Reviews would not be posted as frequent anymore. Sorry about that. Any comments regarding this new drama are welcome. ^_^

Despite his neck injury, Raymond Lam appeared at a grand opening ceremony for a Paul & Joe store. He revealed that behind the scenes, he needed to continue wearing a neck brace. He indicated that he was feeling much better. Although doctors gave him painkillers, Raymond avoided taking the pills as much as possible since the drugs affected his work.

Earlier, Raymond Lam Fung experienced a sharp pain in his spine. Doctors found that one of Raymond’s vertebrae had shifted, pressing down on his spinal nerves. When the physical therapist re-aligned his vertebrae, Raymond suddenly saw black spots in his eyes. The pain was so intense that he nearly fainted. “I had a good time portraying the villain role in Growing Through Life. Earlier, Producer Tommy Leung Ka Shu, told me that he originally intended to cast me in Raymond Lam Fung’s role. Raymond was supposed to play the villain instead. However, I unexpectedly landed in my first villain role!”

Did Bosco fall in love with villain roles? “Yes, I did! As a villain, you can incorporate many elements [and emotions] into the characterizations and they will seem reasonable. I find it boring to always portray well-off characters or good, honorable roles. I do not want to be stereotyped to certain roles only. If possible, I would like to portray an effeminate, flirtatious (好姣) character!”

Despite the audience’s mediocre response to Growing Through Life since its broadcast, Bosco continued to support the series as a good production. Due to his busy current schedule in filming Female Fist (女拳), Bosco has only been able to watch sporadic episodes of his own performance in Growing Through Life. Asked how he rated his own performance, Bosco said, “Initially, I thought my performance was okay. After watching the aired episodes, I can not pin-point what is bad, but my performance is just passing. There are still many areas for me to improve.”

“Coupled with these emotions, I was quite depressed and lost for some time. I never felt this way before; I never had such a lack of confidence in myself. Perhaps Growing Through Life was my first villain role. With the high expectations, I became even more critical about myself. I hope for additional opportunities to portray villain roles; I believe I will perform better next time.”

The Advantage in Filming at a Remote Location

Expressing gratitude in Power Chan Kwok Bong’s consolation, Bosco also thanked Damien Lau Chung Yan for his insight. “I was very fortunate to have Damien teach me so many things during the filming of Growing Through Life. He was very helpful. Prior to filming, we often discussed the script together over meals. He was very sharp and analyzed [the script and characterizations] deeply, spotting things which I did not even think of.”

“There was also an advantage to filming in China . Filming at a remote location, you do not have to think of anything else. You can focus on purely acting. The entire cast ate dinner together almost every day. We talked about many topics and discussed the script together. It was very helpful. ”

In response to the mediocre ratings, Bosco said, “In the past, I used to think about the ratings performance after filming a series. However, it is difficult to forecast the audience’s taste these days. So I can only do my best and not speculate [on matters beyond my control].”

Amidst of the Hong Kong tourists’ tragic deaths in the Philippines , TVB aired Can’t Buy Me Love (公主嫁到), which has eased the atmosphere and brought about more positive energy. Charmaine Sheh Si Man and Moses Chan Ho portray a bickering royal couple. Eldest princess, Sharon Chan Man Chi’s treachery will cause Charmaine and Moses to break up. Fortunately, the couple turns danger into a blessing and becomes more affectionate than before.

The thirty-two episode, Can’t Buy Me Love, revolves around the wild escapades of five unruly princesses, creating many humorous situations. Moses Chan shines in his comic role. In its first week of broadcast, Can’t Buy Me Love averaged thirty-three points (with approximately 2.1 million viewers) and peaked at thirty-seven points (with approximately 2.56 million viewers).

In order to avoid marrying into the Tibetan royal family, Charmaine’s character married Moses Chan. Outwardly displaying love for each other, their marriage was in fact a sham and remained unconsummated. The plot thickened when Sharon Chan, who was jealous of her sister Charmaine, bribed Moses’ ex-lover, Elaine Yiu Chi Ling. Sharon even poisoned Elaine and framed Charmaine for the crime. Fortunately, Elaine did not die from the poisoning and revealed the identity of the true attempted-murderer. Although spared from a death sentence, Sharon was forced to leave the palace and demoted to a commoner. Charmaine and Moses’ love strengthened and Charmaine even has a daughter with Moses.

Charmaine, Moses, Louis Yuen Siu Cheung, Fala Chen, and Raymond Wong Ho Yin appeared on Super Trio Game Master (超級遊戲獎門人) yesterday. If the ratings were to reach fifty points, Louis asked Moses if he would wear swimming briefs. Moses was embarrassed by Louis’ remark, although he was confident the ratings for Can’t Buy Me Love will continue to increase.
