Themesong: "掩飾" by Patrick Tang & Roger Kwok

*Contains spoiler*
Episode 1 to 27:
Roger Kwok (Fong Tsun-Kit 方浚杰) an immigration officer was married with mainland immigrant, Claire Yiu (Cheung Si-Man 張思敏). When Claire moves in to live with Roger's family, there was a lot of unhappiness and misunderstandings aroses and Claire's secret was revealed which broke their marriage. In the end, under the persuation of Roger's mother, Claire decided to leave the family. During this time, Roger was very upset and his relationship with his son has strained due to Claire's departure. Roger then focused on his job and got a transfer to the immigration department where he is under the supervision of John Chiang (Mak Kai-Ming 麥啟銘). Roger used to thought John was a hindrance to his promotion and his impression of John was bad but it gradually improved as he finally learnt that John was trying to train him. Roger's best friend, Yoyo Mung (Yip On-Kei 葉安琪) kept encouraging Roger whether in his work or not to give up on Claire and look for her.

In later episodes, Claire returned to Hong Kong and Roger then tried to pursuade her to return to his side. Claire was touched finally by Roger's sincerity and believed that the lost wedding ring that was found again was a sign that fate has brought them together. Yoyo has grown a feeling for Roger at that time but decided to keep it to herself. Roger was devastated as a result of Claire's tragic death. She has been pushed down the building by Raymond Cho (Cheng Pak-Yu 鄭柏宇), a police officer and also Roger's best friend whose video of been bribed by the mafia was been discovered by Claire. In the end, he was being jailed with the help of Roger who wanted to take revenge for Claire.

My thoughts:
Completely missed out Patrick Tang (Au Shun-Fung 歐順風) [Roger's friend], Natalie Tong (Yip On-Yee 葉安兒) [Yoyo's sister], and Toby Leung (Chung Chi-Yan 鍾志欣) [Roger's sister] love triangle part in the summary, but it is rather interesting to watch.

What I like about this series is the immigration cases that they deals with. One particular case is couples who do not love each other get into "fake" marriages so that the party with mainland ID can convert to a Hong Kong ID so that they are allowed to live in Hong Kong which is said to have better prospects. The Hong Kong party on the other hand, will receives a sum of money. I find it amusing that such cases actually occured in Hong Kong (real cases). Overall, the series is ok to watch and if you are interested in how immigration department functions. ^_^
