Brief summary:
As the founder of the leading Chinese-backed law firm in Hong Kong, Lau Dan has served as the committee chair for many terms. Although he has promised managing partner Liu Kai-chi that he will step down, he invited the profit-oriented Alex Fong to join the firm to counterbalance the power-hungry Liu Kai-chi. Liu Kai-chi has cemented his power at the firm throughout the years. He expects his top associates, Raymond Cho and Mandy Wong, to easily handle Florence Kwok and Matthew Ho from Alex's camp, until a car accident throws off his calculations. Meanwhile, Alex takes advantage and receives an astronomical deal from Lau Dan, officially being promoted to senior partner. Alex also re-encounters Ali Lee, who is also a lawyer. Ali has a special status within the firm. From her initial disdain towards Alex to admiration of him, the two of them establish a mentor and friend relationship. This forces Liu Kai-chi, a ticking time bomb, to show his hand to Lau Dan. As each camp struggles for power, a toothless tiger who has been hibernating for many years prepares to get revenge...

StarHub TVB Awards 2016 will be opened to the public for voting via the website (http://www.starhubtvbawards.com/voting.php) from 9 Sep 2016 to 16 Oct 2016. All voting participants (Online, Newspaper & Magazine) also stand a chance to win A 3D2N trip for 2 to catch the TVB Awards Presentation in Hong Kong and a pair of StarHub TVB Awards tickets for top winner.
The nominations for StarHub TVB Awards 2016 are jointly determined by StarHub and TVB for TVB programmes shown on VV Drama, E City, TVBJ and TVB First on Demand between 1 September 2015 – 30 September 2016. The final results are decided by online voting (70%) and a panel of professional judges (30%) which will be announced at the awards show.

My thoughts:
This year Ruco Chan has high chance of winning My Favourite TVB actor 3 times in a row. Lack of competitors is one reason, TVB has few potential male actors to meet the standard. Next year will be their 50th anniversary, hopefully we can look forward to a more competitive environment. Nancy Wu did not get the My Favourite TVB actress last year, she will get it this year. Happy for Joyce Tang to get the My Favourite TVB supporting actress and Raymond Cho or Lai Lok Yi t to get the My Favourite TVB supporting actor role. Do share your thoughts with us! (^_^)
