Tang Chi Wai's star-studded concert: Ron Ng gets off-key; Leo Ku changes lyrics for Wayne Lai's birthday

TVB music director Tang Chi Wai (CW) kicked off the first show of his debut concert (平行回憶演唱會) in Kowloon Bay last night (May 4th), many artists supported CW both on and off stage, making it star-studded concert. In the audience Leanne Li, Michael Miu, Jamie Chik and Susan Tse were among the artists that went to support CW. On stage, the guest performers included Ron Ng, Alfred Hui, Bosco Wong, Raymond Lam, Leo Ku, Wayne Lai, Mag Lam, Stephanie Cheng, Wong Cho Lam, Linda Chung, Joyce Cheng and FAMA.

The concert peaked when Wayne and Leo duet the No Regrets theme song and at Raymond Lam's performance. Initially, Wayne had plans to celebrate his birthday and wouldn't be able to make it to the concert, so he asked if he could come on the second night instead. However because he learned Leo Ku was going to duet with him, he changed plans and made accommodations. Leo also knew what to do, aside from giving Wayne a birthday cake with CW, he even changed the No Regrets theme song lyrics to a special birthday song for Wayne.

Raymond was the guest performer at the concert's finale, and was obviously CW's favorite. After performing three fast songs to push the atmosphere up, Raymond then followed with two slow songs. CW was silent throughout the entire concert, and was only willing to speak of his feelings with Raymond by his side. He publicly thanked Raymond's voice for spreading his works out. He also thanked Mona Fong, Virgina Lok and Vera Chan for all the support they gave over the years. Finally, while CW was concentrated on playing Love Searching For You In Memory 愛在記憶中找你 on the piano, Raymond suddenly went over to put the microphone by CW's mouth, but he firmly refused to speak.

Ron Ng performed a new version of Don't Blame Her 別怪她, but was unable to meet the standard and went a little off key too. After the show, Ron was asked if he's satisfied with his performance? "I don't know because when I was on stage just now, I had on two earphones. I wasn't able to hear my voice or the music very well, so when I sang the second song (Red Butterfly 紅蝴蝶), I took out one of the earphones." Ron said he did rehearse the song and went to CW's recording studio to do so, but because of the new arrangement of the song and the music is different, he had to rehearse the song first before he understands how to perform it. For tomorrow night's performance, he probably won't have two earphones.

After Joyce Cheng broke up with her boyfriend Mark, she was rumored to have fell for a Korean model Jin Chui. Mark also has been said to found a new love interest, Miss China (Uny Chiu). Joyce said: "Congrats! We haven't kept in touch lately, and I'm focused on my work. I don't think I would go gossip about it, the most important is that we are both happy. I've received a lot of support and love from my friends." Does that mean she has found a new boyfriend? Joyce stressed she has no boyfriend, but there are a lot of male and female friends by her side. She clarified Jin is not her new boyfriend, just one of her friends.

Bosco Wong performed a Rock version of his girlfriend Myolie Wu's Fortunate 幸而. He expressed he's just performing on his girlfriend's behalf because she's unable to attend. Bosco was dressed like a demon and had on heavy smokey eyes makeup. He expressed he finally got to personally experience the difficulty of females. Bosco was seen walking with a cane at the concert, he expressed: "Lately, I've been shooting a lot of fighting scenes. I've injured my feet and nose, so I have to walk around with a cane."
