Ron Ng Cheuk Hei and Tavia Yeung Yi were filming at a bowling alley for TVB’s new series, Yes Sir, No Sir (點解阿Sir係阿Sir). Both Ron and Tavia admitted that they were not experts at bowling.

Thirty-nine-year-old Gigi Lai Chi gave birth to twin daughters on July, 24th at the Canossa Hospital in Hong Kong . Gigi’ husband, 53-year-old Patrick Ma Ting Keung, has been ecstatic about the birth of his twin daughters and was spotted frequenting the hospital.

TVB’s new series, A Pillow Case of Mystery 2 (施公奇案2) peaked with ratings of thirty-six points in its first week of broadcast. Bobby Au Yeung Chun Wah, Jessica Hsuan, and Leila Tong Ning appeared at the party celebrating the series’ ratings performance.

Tavia Yeung Yi and Moses Chan Ho promoted Beyond the Realm of Conscience <宮心計> in Taiwan . Some fans even flew from Singapore to Taiwan in order to see Tavia. In February 2010, Tavia had also visited Taiwan and experienced the earthquake firsthand.

Several years ago, Roger Kwok Chung On gained immense popularity by portraying mentally challenged characters inSquare Pegs (戆夫成龙)and Life Made Simple (阿旺新傳). Next month, Charmaine Sheh Si Man will also have the opportunity to play a mentally challenged character in the upcoming series, The Colorful World of Sister Fa (花花世界花家姐) which will also star Raymond Lam Fung. Allegedly, Charmaine’s role will be very high profile and may even help her win the Best Actress Award again.

In the second half of 2010, TVB will release three grand-scale productions. The series line-up includes Raymond Lam Fung’s Growing Through Life (摘星之旅), Moses Chan Ho and Charmaine Sheh Si Man’s Can’t Buy Me Love (公主嫁到), and Wayne Lai Yiu Cheung and Sheren Tang Shui Man’s Rosy Business 2- The Righteous Sea of Heroic Love (巾幗梟雄之義海豪情).

Steven Ma Chun Wai, Linda Chung Ka Yan, and Fala Chen attended a party to celebrate the stellar ratings of Ghost Writer (蒲松齡). Producer, Leung Choi Yuen, announced that a sequel will be filmed next year. The original cast of Ghost Writer will be featured in the new series. A theatrical version of Ghost Writer will also be created.

Raymond Lam Fung invited frequent onscreen partner, Kate Tsui Chi San, to guest perform at his upcoming July concert at the Hong Kong Coliseum. The pair practiced dancing together for the concert. During the practice, there were embarrassing moments, such as Raymond’s hands being placed before Kate’s chest area.

The finale for TVB series, Ghost Writer (蒲松齡) finished broadcasting in Hong Kong. Starring Steven Ma Chun Wai, Linda Chung Ka Yan, and Fala Chen, the series averaged 36 points in ratings and peaked at 41 points.

Kiki Sheung Tin Gnor and her boyfriend, Patrick, will be getting married in October 2010. While shopping for their wedding needs earlier, Patrick bought a $140,000 (HKD) swan diamond and pearl ring for Kiki. As many people complimented Kiki on the beautiful diamond ring, she revealed that she preferred receiving a watch instead.

The reporter noted that a watch did not bear as much significance as a ring and complimented Patrick’s thoughtfulness in buying a ring with a swan design (Kiki’s Chinese name is ’swan’). Kiki responded, “I appreciate Honey’s thoughtful gesture. However I am a practical person. Luxury watches retain their value over time and I can wear it more frequently. On the contrary, the swan design on the ring is quite large and it’s easy to scratch it with frequent wear.”

Brief summary:

After a radical change in life, SZE SAI-LUN (Au Yeung Chun Wah) becomes dispirited with the political world and spends most of his time travelling around in search of fun. Along the way, he meets a spirit medium, NG KWAN-YAU (Hsuan Jessica Hester), who somehow gets caught up in a mysterious murder case. It is not LUN’s intention to intervene at first, but with the fortuitous assistance from the pillow spirit NGAU TAI-LIK (Lee Sze Chit), he can finally crack the case and prove YAU’s innocence. LUN has his confidence back and pledges to continue his fight for justice. As time progresses, LUN and YAU get to know each other better and gradually fall in love. LUN finally decides to get over the past and marry the girl. He enjoys his married life so much but gets frustrated at work sometimes - LIK’s power turns out not to be as strong as expected, which ends up with a lot of misleading clues being given. Amidst the various challenges of his new life, LUN realizes that YAU seems to have something to hide and that there is a malicious plot behind their marriage. Knowing that the couple have fallen out, LUN’s mother has found him a new wife, LUK SIU-TIP (Leila Tong). Out of the blue, TIP has also come with ill intentions. LUN is plunged into a complex web of intrigue and things seem to be getting on top of him...

My thoughts:

Finally a pillow case of mystery II is aired!!! =D Although there are much casts change except Bobby Au-Yeung, the plot seems intense and mysterious. Get to watch crime stories again after the mysteries of love. Yeah! Feel amuse that Johnson is acting as a pillow spirit. Be sure to catch some funny scenes from this group of entertainer cast. Earlier, Raymond accidentally injured his left hand while working out at the gym. He attended a physical therapy session earlier in the day, thus leading to his late arrival at the celebration party.

Allegedly, Gigi Lai Chi may have entered the hospital, awaiting the birth of her boy-girl twins. Gigi checked in a VIP room at a rate of $20,000 (HKD) per night to enjoy the exclusive comforts of the hospital available to its most exclusive customers.

Tavia Yeung Yi and Kenneth Ma Kwok Ming appeared at a home furnishings store promotional event. Asked whether recent TVB hit series, The Mysteries of Love <談情說案>, will have a sequel, Kenneth said, “It would be great if there is such an opportunity. There was a breakthrough in my role, as I no longer played such an innocent character. I would love to partner onscreen with Tavia in a romantic relationship.”
